This history research project owes its existence to the COQC of 1991. This batch, thanks to their trainors, originally called themselves COQC batch 09-91. Later, after their diplomas and General Orders had been issued, it was discovered that there had only been seven (7) COQCs conducted before 1991. This meant that the class was actually 8th in the correct chronology.

This dramatic demonstration of the unit's ignorance of its own history prompted the expansion of the project, from a simple effort to compile a list of Corps Commanders, to the comprehensive study that it is today.
