a practice, the Presentation of Sponsors
began at the Ateneo de Davao in the 60's.
The first such ceremony was held on October
9, 1966 during the school fiesta and
was in honor of the Father Rector and the
alumni of 1956.
It
did not become a regular part of the Corps'
activities until 1986, when it was revived
after a prolonged absence. The chronology
of the current series of presentations
started with this revival.
It
should be noted however that the induction
of officers and ball were observed, even
without the presentation of sponsors.
