Despite
short notice to participate in this year's annual
Regional Tactical Inspection, the CPU ROTC Unit still
emerged as the region's best last January 12, 2001,
when it garnered 92.522%.
According
to Capt. Bartholome Hudierez, this feat is another
'feather on the cap' that justified the Unit's elevation
to a superior rating status in the nationwide tactical
inspection.
It
will be recalled that the CPU ROTC Unit has been in
the top position the last five years for (1996 to
2000). This record performances have initially conferred
an " exemption status" for the Unit to join
this year's tactical inspection, through a memorandum
letter from the 6th Regional Community Defense Group,
ARESCOM based in CampHernandez, Dingle, Iloilo. However,
because of certain evaluation requirements that had
to be complied by the Unit, this privileged was deferred
for some time. This development constrained the CPU
CMT Unit to prepare double time though it was admittedly
inadequate. It was the cadets' full cooperation that
triumphed at this moment.
The
ROTC Tactical Inspection team members (2000-2001)
include Col. Renato R. Rapisura (JCSC) PA- Chairman;
Lt. Col. Apolinario L. Todela (INF) PA - Vice Chairman;
Major Fernando N. Moralidad (PAR), member; Capt. John
Fred B. Andres (PAR) - member; SSgt. Cris Sabacan
(INF) PA- member, and Sgt. Elvie Estilo (WAC) PA-
member.
