joins Habitat for Humanity

CPU
participated in the Habitat for Humanity “World
Leaders Build” in Barangav Bitoon, Jaro, August
11.
The
University was represented by thirty-eight (38) ROTC
cadets led by Capt. Salvador C. Divinagracia, Jr.,
Commandant: SSgt. Joseph C. Calibang and Mr. Bart.
Hudierez of the CPU DMST; and Engr. Aurora Alerta-Lim
of the CPU Public Relations Office. The group worked
on the concrete flooring of one of the houses being
built and cleared the construction area during their
half-day civic action. The llonggo Habitat for Humanity
built three houses at Barangav Bito-on the week of
August 6 - 11.
“Habitat
for Humanity,” led by former US President Jimmy
Carter, is a global project implemented in 6 countries.
Now in its 25th year, the project builds simple, decent
homes for the economically disadvantaged through participative
labor of home partners and volunteers.
